These questions relate to the sermon from 5 August 2018, "The Temple of the Holy Spirit."  The primary text was Acts 2:1-4. Other texts mentioned that may be spur further discussion are: 2 Chronicles 7:1-3Exodus 40:34-38Deuteronomy 15:7-11, and  Acts 4:32-37.

  1. Why is the Holy Spirit important for Christians?
  2. What was the significance of Pentecost? (Re-read Acts 2:1-4)
  3. What are the differences between God’s presence in the Old Testament (Temple/ Tabernacle references in 2 Chronicles 7:1-3 and Exodus 40:34-38) and New Testament (Pentecost)?
  4. Have you ever considered yourself to be the temple of the Holy Spirit? (Read 1 Corinthians 6:19).
  5. How does the concept of you being God’s mobile temple connect with the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20?
