Questions - The Old and The New


These questions relate to the sermon on 30 December, 2018, The Old and The New.  The primary scripture is Isaiah 43:1-21.  Regardless of circumstances we know God will provide for, protect, and redeem his people.  The sermon can be heard on this website under the "sermons" tab.

1.  What were the defining experiences of 2018 for you?

4.  In this chapter of Isaiah he was fortelling the redemption of Israel after they were in Babylonian exile.  You might want to re-read the passage or start from 42:18 for more background.  What was the basis for hope according to Isaiah' message?

5.  How does verse 1 define God's relationship with Israel?

7.  What past works of redemption/salvation are described?

8.  How do God's past works help our faith?

9.  In verses 18-19, what is God going to do?
