These questions/comments relate to the sermon on 30 August 2020, Church Work.  The primary passage is Acts 12:1-19.

1.  The King Herod mentioned in this chapter is Herod Agrippa I.  Historical records indicate he died in 44 A.D., so the events of Acts 12 would be about that time, ten or so years after the crucifixion of Jesus.

2.  What was Herod's motivation for killing James and arresting Peter?

3.  What were the assembly of believers doing when Peter was in prison?  How many days did this continue?

4.  How did Peter get out of prison?

5.  When he was released, where did he go, and why did he go there?

6.  What where Peter's friends doing when he found them?

7.  If you haven't read Ephesians 6:10-20 recently, please do so.  What is described in this passage?

8.  What should you do when you are geared up for spiritual battle?

9.  How many ways can you think of to help the church pray together and fervently?

10.  If you are meeting with a group, practice together.
